Blogging has become a popular way for internet users to share their opinions, stories, and ideas with the world.

Not only it allows people to express themselves freely, but it also creates a community of readers and bloggers that share the same passion.

As of today, there are hundreds and thousands of blogging websites on the internet. But these seven represent some of the best ones that you should check out whether you’re a blogger or just looking for a blog to read!

1) Blogger

Blogger is owned by Google and was one of the first blogging sites on the Internet. It offers an intuitive interface, robust features, and excellent customer support.

The only downside is that it lacks third-party integration options like the Disqus comment system or Facebook comments (though they do have Twitter integration). But other than that it’s great!

2) Tumblr

Tumblr is an incredibly popular social network/blogging site. Unique features such as reblogging, “dashboards” (similar to WordPress sidebars), and themes have earned it a large following.

The only downside of Tumblr is that it’s a bit slow at times and some people don’t like the way it looks (though many others do!). But it’s still a great blog.

3) WordPress

If you’re looking for a good self-hosted blogging platform, there are few better than WordPress.

Although, WordPress has a self-hosted version too for which we recommend HostGator hosting. You can check questions related to HostGator Hosting before choosing it for your website.

It allows you to create almost any type of blog imaginable with its powerful theme system and robust plugin repository. You can use it free with just ads or pay for a subscription which provides you with more features.

It’s an excellent blogging platform, especially if you like to have full control over your blog and content.

4) Weebly

Another great self-hosted blogging platform is Weebly. It allows you to create a static website that uses the look of a blog layout without actually being a blog.

This is great for people who don’t like the idea of “blogging,” but still want to share content with an audience.

Weebly offers several robust design options for your site, including drag-and-drop picture uploads, multiple fonts and themes, video embedding, and more!

5) Wix

If you want to create a full-fledged website but don’t have the expertise or experience to do it, then Wix is an excellent choice.

Its easy-to-use drag and drop builder allows you to make an attractive site without knowing any code.

With features like eCommerce, portfolio building, social networking integration, and more it’s a great way to create a full website in just minutes!

6) LiveJournal

One of the oldest blogging platforms still around today, LiveJournal is loved by many for its simplicity and great design.

It’s also popular since it’s one of the few venues where you can fully customize your profile (perhaps why some people prefer Tumblr).

Unfortunately, it’s not the most popular blogging platform which means you won’t find as many high-quality or highly active blogs here.

7) Medium

Medium is a relatively new blogging platform that has quickly become popular, especially among people in the “blogosphere.” Many well-known bloggers such as Alexis Ohanian, Leo Babauta, and Tim Ferriss have already published several articles on Medium.

It’s very similar to Twitter in that it allows you to follow other people, who in turn can follow you so that your articles appear on their main page.

It also allows you to publish articles from almost anywhere since it’s a web-based platform.

Conclusion:

The seven best blogging platforms are Blogger, Tumblr, WordPress, Weebly, Wix, LiveJournal, and Medium.

These sites offer a variety of advantages for different needs depending on your preferences.

Whether you’re looking to share opinions or create an eCommerce site in minutes with no coding experience necessary-these the top 7 websites have the tools needed to succeed!
