With the use of the Potara Earrings, Goku and Vegeta fuse to become Vegito (ベゴット Bejitto), also referred to as Vegerot in the Viz English manga. With his immense power, Vegito is considered one of the strongest fighters in the entire Dragon Ball series, much like his Fusion Dance counterpart Gogeta.

Background Of Vegitto

Fusion was Goku and Kaioshin’s only chance to defeat the Majin after Super Buu absorbed Gotenks and Piccolo. Since there wasn’t enough time to teach anyone the Fusion Dance, Goku instead received a pair of Potara earrings. He arrived on Earth just in time to prevent Super Buu from destroying the planet with a massive energy sphere. In an attempt to fuse them, Goku threw one of the earrings to Gohan, but he was unable to catch it, and it fell into a rock. Though the half-Saiyan found it, Gotenks defused inside Buu, causing him to lose roughly one-third of his power.

But after he absorbed Gohan, he became much more powerful, leaving Goku to fuse with either Dende or Mr. Satan—neither of whom would be particularly helpful. However, he felt Vegeta’s energy and followed Buu to his location, where he was accompanied by Shukan Ido. The Saiyan prince initially showed no interest in merging with Goku, and they attempted to battle the defused Majin. Vegeta eventually consented to fuse after learning what had happened to his family, even though they were no match for Super Buu.

Vegeta was informed by Goku that their fusion would be permanent as he was putting on the earring, and the Saiyan prince told him he ought to have brought that up sooner. He nevertheless proceeded with the fusion, and they united to become Vegito.

Personality

Having traits of both Vegeta and Son Goku, including the latter’s constant taunting of his adversaries and arrogance, Vegito is a hybrid of the two characters. He is not as serious, though, because he also possesses the former’s joy and laid-back manner. Vegito also inherited Goku’s concern for other people and morality, as demonstrated when he used his arrogance to make Buu absorb him. In addition, Vegito has Goku’s combat expertise and Vegeta’s strategic abilities, which makes him far more effective in battle than either of them.

Powers

When the events of Battle of the Gods and Resurrection of ‘F’ occurred, Vegito was regarded as the most powerful character in Dragon Ball Z. He later rose to prominence in Dragon Ball Super. In addition to his incredible strength, speed, endurance, and durability, he also can sense life energy, control energy to fly and launch energy blasts, and teleport. Vegito can undergo several transformations, each of which raises his level.

Vegito employs a range of methods, all of which he learns from his fusees. These are the Big Bang Flash, albeit he employs a special form of it that appears to have been mixed with the Kamehameha wave. Vegito launches a strong energy beam while holding out his hand in front of him, palm down. The other originates from Goku and is called the Kamehameha wave.

Nevertheless, his rendition is much more potent and truly destroys everything it strikes. Moreover, Vegito is capable of using the Final Kamehameha, which combines Goku’s Kamehameha and Vegeta’s Final Flash. Vegito uses it by extending both hands forward, fusing the energy from both strikes to create a large, whitish-blue energy sphere that he fires at his target. Each figure can also produce blasts. Vegito can conjure up energy structures, which he employs as a cannon and a sword. Additionally, Vegito possesses all of his fusees’ techniques of fuses.

Iconic Battles

Battling Super Buu

Vegito demonstrated that he was far more powerful than just his two fusees. He easily neutralized an attack that could have killed Goku and Vegeta on their own, and he outclassed Super Buu in battle. Vegito changed into his Super Saiyan form after demonstrating his strength in his regular form. Despite being impressed by the power of the fusion, Buu was not persuaded that Vegito was stronger.

Vegito defeated Evil Buu even more easily than before, undermining the effectiveness of his attacks and attacking him nonstop. The Majin tried to destroy the fusion by transforming into a liquid and penetrating Vegito’s body. After that, Buu caused Vegito to enlarge to an unsettling degree and claimed he had control over his body in an attempt to frighten him.

Battling Super Buu

But instead of using his energy to free Buu, the fusion continued to batter him until he was forced to leave. The Majin started to scream, threatening the stability of the dimensions because he was furious that Vegetto was still making fun of him. This could have destroyed the universe if left unchecked, but Vegito was able to get past the barrier put in place by To stop that, Buu is yelling for him to punch him in the face. Out of options, the Majin made Vegito into a jawbreaker with a coffee flavor. However, this was ineffective.

Since the fusion could still move and speak, it attacked Buu with a strong (and somewhat comical) physical attack. The Majin transformed him back after deciding he had had enough of attempting to hit a small, swift target like Vegito in his current form. When Buu’s regeneration began to run out and he continued to lose to Vegito with ease, the fusion decided it was time to call it quits on the match.

He gave the Majin ten seconds to do as he pleased before killing him, and he was free to do as he pleased during that period. However, after nine seconds, Buu’s antenna—which had been severed earlier—engulfed Vegito and absorbed him into the Majin. Although it appeared that the fight was over, Vegito had been playing around with Buu and was capable of taking him out at any moment.

He had consciously chosen to be absorbed to protect his fusees’ friends and family who had previously been absorbed by Super Buu. Vegito managed to avoid being fully absorbed by protecting himself with an energy field, but Buu’s digestive tract defused him back into Goku and Vegeta. To prevent them from fusing again, Vegeta went on to crush his Potara earring. Goku and Vegeta were later offered the opportunity to reunite as Vegito during their battle with Kid Buu, but they turned it down out of pride in being Saiyans.

Combat with Fusion Zamasu

In Dragon Ball Super, Vegito reappears during the battle between Black Goku and Zamasu, who has fused to become Fused Zamasu. Vegeta initially objected to permanently fusing with Goku, but after learning that non-Kais could only fuse with the potara earrings for an hour, he gave in.

For the majority of the fight, Vegito had the upper hand over Fused Zamasu, but the potara fusion ended sooner than anticipated. After destroying Goku and Vegeta, Fused Zamasu battled Future Trunks, who had acquired a new form.

Vegito made his first appearance after “Union of Rivals” to engage Super Buu in combat. He then made a second appearance as the main character of the following episode, “Meet Vegito,” for the duration of the whole show.

Years later, he made his Dragon Ball Super debut, fighting and attempting to defeat Fused Zamasu, though their overuse of power caused them to quickly defuse. He is voiced in Japanese by Masako Nozawa and Ryō Horikawa, and in English (which he shared with Gogeta) by Sean Schemmel and Christopher Sabat.
