Han So Hee’s Early Life and Career
Han So-hee was born Lee So-hee on November 18, 1994, in Ulsan, South Korea. She grew up in Gundae-myeon, Eonyang-up in Ulsan, and she has two siblings: an older sister, and a younger brother. Although her family background has not been fully revealed, Han has commented in interviews that her parents are very conservative and that she admires her father for his wisdom. Early in her school years, Han moved to Seoul, and having received bad grades in middle school due to poor self-discipline, she worked hard to improve them in high school. In interviews, Han has spoken about her admiration for her father, describing him as wise. Han reported that growing up, she admired the intelligence of her father. In high school, she worked hard to improve her grades and went on to attend a technical high school, and later a college where she studied in the Department of Hotel and Tourism Management.

She was very pretty even when she was young, which led her to be cast in her career. She was known to be a shy and quiet person in elementary school. She then played a small role as Queen Shinjeong in the period film Monstrum. However, these works did not gather significant traction or attention. Be that as it may, her work was celebrated in the 2019 breakout drama Aide, in which she played a lead role.

Han So-hee had minor roles in several mainstream Korean dramas, but she gained attention when she was cast as the protagonist in the melodramatic film “Innocence”. In this film, she played Jung-eun, a 16-year-old girl who becomes diagnosed with peritoneal cancer. This prompted her to quit high school to focus on acting. Han made her acting debut in the television drama Family Secrets with a supporting role in 2014, followed by Mystery to Me., Dingo Story, and 100 Days My Prince. In 2019, she appeared in the romantic comedy Abyss, followed by a leading role in the TVN political drama Ada and Eve. Her breakout role was in the 2020 television series The World of the Married.
