You Can Pass the PMP Exam Even If You Are Busy

Many students are always saying how busy they are, so they don’t have time to read the books or take the practice exams, or even just give up  taking the exam Here I would like to say that “busy” is sometimes just an excuse. As long as you can squeeze in two hours of reading every day like I did, you can successfully pass the PMP exam.

First, determination is the key to overcome all difficulties

Determination is whether you are mentally ready to take the fight. The first thing you should ask yourself before you register for the exam is whether you are really “busy”. Ask yourself if you are so busy that you can’t squeeze in two hours a day to read a book. Are you so busy that your work schedule has to clash with your training schedule, practice exams and exams? Is there any other way to avoid this? If the answer to all three questions is “yes”, then you are not prepared for the basic preparation and it will be difficult to pass the exam.So there is no need to start the project. If the answer is “no”, then stop using “busy” as an excuse and make up your mind to “pass the exam in one go, no turning back”! Instead of telling yourself, “If you don’t pass this time, there’s another time to take the exam. There are four exams in a year”, otherwise you’ll have a hard time to make the passing. Determination is the basis for perseverance, and it is the key!

Second, action determines ultimate success or failure.

After overcoming the psychological barriers, it is time to start taking action. Determination alone, without action, is unlikely to achieve the goal. I believe that many students have heard the teachers of SPOTO repeatedly remind us to treat the PMP exam as a “project”.As long as we follow the five process groups to implement, coupled with the teachers’ guidance, we will definitely pass the exam. I am convinced of this and I am following it.And here are a few key points.

Firstly, it is important to set project goals and objectives for each stage. For example, the overall project goal is to “ensure that you get the 5M and strive for the 5P”, and the stage goals are to “read through the PMBOK before the lecture” and to “get 150 scores in the third module”.

Secondly, you should plan your studies well and follow the plan. For example, you should read for two hours a day and complete at least 40 pages of reading. The second reading should be completed before the first module exam, etc.

Thirdly, identify, analyse and respond to risks. Try to reallocate work that may conflict with your studies, either by completing work assignments earlier or by staggering your travel dates with your training. If something unexpected happens in the middle and plans have to be adjusted, use the critical chain method and catch-up work. For example, to ensure that progress is caught up at the end of each week.

Fourthly, keep up with your teacher and classroom instructors to ensure that each milestone is completed on time. Usually teachers and class instructors will require learners to complete a certain learning task at a certain point in time, as well as three mock exams to achieve a basic score. Set these as milestone points to measure your project management performance.

Fifthly, learn to use the organizational process assets of  SPOTO Because SPOTO is a training provider with extensive test-taking experience, many of the best students and teachers are willing to share their experiences. Even if groups don’t have time to organize activities, you can still cheer each other up and share your experiences through online communication. When you are tired or discouraged, you have a “big family” to support you and to answer any questions you may have. I would like to express a big thank to the other students for the sharing in the SPOTO.It has given me a lot of inspiration and deepened my understanding.

Sixth, find a learning method that works for you and close the stage well. The methods provided by others may not always be applicable to you, but you need to summarize more on your own way, especially after completing each modal exam, to know why you didn’t get it right and which knowledge points were confused. I agree with the method of finding answers by question to book as advised by the teachers of SPOTO. It is a good way to quickly find the test points and understand them, especially when you get bored with the boring content of the book, and it is very helpful to improve your understanding.
