Fans wanted to know when the fourth season of the anime would come out. Luckily, they got their questions answered when the anime released a trailer with new information about Demon Slayer Season 4. Good news The fourth season has been confirmed, and here’s everything we know about it.
Thirty chapters, or the Swordsmith Village arc, were included in the third season and were entirely animated into eleven episodes. As previously revealed, the fourth season would adapt the Hashira Training storyline.
Hashira Training Arc In Demon Slayer Season 4
The Hashira Training arc has 9 chapters in the manga. So, it is very likely that the content will be turned into animation soon. Like the second season, Demon Slayer Season 4 might also have a second story within it. So, fans can look forward to seeing the start of the Final Battle story in animation.
However, it is also possible that Ufotable may choose to release the Hashira Training arc differently, such as making it into a movie or a short season. So, the number of episodes for the next season will depend on how Ufotable decides to make the show.
Demon Slayer Season 4 Trailer Details
So far, only one teaser has been released for Demon Slayer season 4. The teaser showed pictures of the eight remaining Hashiras. Since the anime already showed new pictures of three of the Hashiras, only five of them had new pictures released. With that, the teaser showed that it will be turning the Hashira Training arc into a movie or series. In addition, the anime only showed the actors who would play the same characters as before.
Villains Of Season 4 Revealed!
Since the anime will only adapt the Hashira Training arc, it doesn’t seem like Tanjiro and his friends will fight any bad guys in the first part of Demon Slayer Season 4. But some strong fighters might make it hard for Tanjiro to train. In the past, Sanemi Shinazugawa, the Wind Hashira, stabbed Nezuko when Tanjiro and his friends arrived at the Demon Slayer Corps headquarters. So, Tanjiro and Sanemi’s old grudge could continue until the fourth season.
Additionally, in the next story, Genya might try to say sorry to his brother Sanemi for something he did wrong. But because of Sanemi’s personality, it doesn’t seem like they will work things out. So, they might have a negative experience too.
That means, that because the Hashira Training arc only has 9 chapters and is too short for one season, season 4 might also include the start of the Final Battle arc. So, Kibutsuji Muzan and the upper-ranked demons – Kokushibo, Doma, and Akaza might also show up in season 4 of Demon Slayer.
How Many Episodes Can We Expect?
Hashira Training doesn’t have much information to use. Without adding a lot of extra content, it’s unlikely to be as good as Mugen Train’s shortened seven-episode run. It’s been confirmed as a full season, but we think it might just be a quick stop before something bigger. We guess it will probably be a six-episode season at most. But even just two or three episodes could be possible, especially with the one-hour first episode.
The Hashira Training arc is only 9 chapters, which is short. The Swordsmith Village arc in the manga had 27 chapters, and it was adapted into 11 episodes, with each episode covering about 2 chapters. This means either Demon Slayer Season 4 will have only 4 or 5 episodes, or it will tell more than just this one short story.
Demon Slayer Season 4: A Movie Or Series?
Demon Slayer season 4 is a TV show, not a movie. Instead, the first episode will be shown with the last episode of the previous season like a preview movie, just like the Swordsmith Village arc.
Called “To the Hashira Training”, the new Demon Slayer “movie” will combine episode 11 of the Swordsmith Village arc with episode 1 of season 4 of Demon Slayer. That will be released in different countries at different times in February. The new season of Demon Slayer will come out in spring 2024, including a long first episode.
Expected Release Date
The first and third seasons of Demon Slayer both started in April, so it’s logical for the anime to continue that tradition. A new movie called ‘To the Hashira Training’ will be released in the US and UK on February 23, 2024. Fans will get to see the first episode a few months before it’s released.

Fans can look forward to the first episode of Demon Slayer season 4 introducing the events of the Hashira Training arc. The show could begin with demon slayers resting and recovering after a tough fight against two powerful demons. After that, they could tell the Demon Slayer Corps about it too. So, the Hashiras could try to make a plan to beat Kibutsuki Muzan and his demons.
People who read the manga would understand that in this part of the story, Tanjiro and his friends, as well as the Demon Slayer Corps, have intense training with the Hashiras. Tanjiro impresses all the Hashira he trains with and could soon join them as a member.

Demon Slayer Season 4 will have the main characters, but the best part is that it will focus more on Hashira. Many powerful fighters, like Stone Hashira Gyomei Himejima, Serpent Hashira Obanai Iguro, and Wind Hashira Sanemi Shinazugawa, haven’t done much yet in the story.
Now is a good opportunity to learn more about them and introduce these characters. Tanjiro will train with each of them individually, which will help him form strong bonds with them.
