The second T20 match between Sri Lanka and Afghanistan is all set to take place at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium on Monday, that is 19th of February when Dambulla will host the game. After winning the first match Team Sri Lanka is in the lead in the three-match series by 1-0. 

During the first T20I both the teams were in a very closely contested game, where team Sri Lanka was behind the bat first. The batters of the team though failed to convert their starts into big scores however the skipper Wanindu Hasaranga played brilliantly with 62 runs on only 32 balls which helped the team to reach a total of 160 runs before all got out in 19 overs. The Afghanistan bowlers as led by Fazalhaq Farooqi with a figure of 3/25 were put into a collective effort of restricting the hosts. In response, the Afghanistan skipper Ibrahim Zadran managed to hold the innings together from his end but cricket is nothing but team effort and his team members managed to keep losing their wickets at regular intervals. The match went down the wire but team Sri Lanka managed a win by 4 runs which put them in an early lead in the series.
