Ben Stokes is all ready to join the prestigious 100th test club after the third test against India in Rajkot.
The captain of the England team, Ben Stokes, is all set to become the seventh-sixth player in the world to have played a hundred test matches. He would be the sixteenth player from England’s team to become this player. Among the currently active English players, there are only two players, namely James Anderson and Joe Root, who have more test appearances than Ben Stokes.
Ben Stokes made his debut in 2013 when he played against Australia and has managed to score 6251 runs in the ninety-nine matches since then, an average run of 36.34. He has also managed to pick up 197 wickets in these 99 matches. Apart from him, only Garfield Sobers and Jacques Kallis have shared the unique distinction of managing 6000+ runs along with 150+ wickets in Test cricket.

One of the most memorable moments in Ben Stoke’s career in test matches includes his unbeaten and remarkable 135 runs against Australia in Leeds. He orchestrated a near-impossible chase of 359 runs in the fourth inning alongside the tail.
During one of the most challenging phases for England in Test cricket matches, Ben Stokes was tasked with turning things around. He was rewarded with the captaincy in 2022 and has managed to keep the belief put in him since then. Under his guidance, the England cricket team has become known for its aggressive style of play and has emerged as one of the most exciting and waited-for teams in Test cricket matches.

Since getting the captaincy and assuming his full-time role as captain, Ben Stokes has led the England cricket team in twenty matches, out of which they have managed to score victories in 14. They have suffered five losses and have also had a draw.
