If you think electronics simply provide convenience, you might be very wrong. The conveniences of modern life can be highly dangerous and even fatal in some cases. The health risks of mobile phones and other such heavily used devices and appliance has been studied thoroughly.

These health risks may not be very apparent, but they are present. Waiting to accumulate until they are strong enough to really affect your health and the health of your family.

It turns out that frequency heavy devices like mobile phones, WiFi routers, computers, microwaves, and other such appliances emit a somewhat invisible radiation known as EMF, or electromagnetic field radiation. These energy waves are what concerns experts in terms of the health of the general population. The questions that arise are, should we be concerned too? Should we be taking steps that help reduce EMF radiation?

Well, yes. We simply must have steps in place that reduces the accumulation of EMFs inside our homes. This means we can start by reducing the use of heavy appliances, take some days out of your week to live with nature instead of being around electronics and appliances.

What is EMF?

You may ask what EMF really is. Well, EMF is a field radiation that all, or most heavy appliances emit. Microwaves especially are the major reasons for EMF within your homes. EMF from phones can also be quite deadly on the long run. EMF is not harmful until it has accumulated to quantities well beyond safe levels. You have to be totally careful of these EMFs and take all necessary precautions.

Power lines, electricity, appliances, and devices are ever present well within range of most of us. Now, you cannot avoid all the EMF everywhere, but you can start at home. We suggest you look into SmartDot; this device is proficient at reducing EMF and dulling down its effects by a huge margin.

It has been deduced that many appliances that use electricity combined with radiation can cause even more EMFs to spread in your house. Microwaves are a burning example of the same. Medical imaging procedures such as MRIs and X-Rays are also found to cause EMF.

The widespread access to electricity might be really convenient and helpful, but it can also cause a bunch of different effects and even be fatal in the long run if nothing is done about it. Though it is believed that EMFs are generally not as harmful as you might think, but others question their exposure limits and use studies to deduce that EMFs can even cause cancer when absorbed in huge quantities.

Types of EMF exposure

There are two kinds of EMF exposure, Low-level radiation, and High-level radiation.

Low-level radiation or non-ionizing radiation is fairly mild and thought to be harmless to people. Heavy appliances like microwave ovens, mobile phones, Wi-Fi routers, as well as power lines and MRI machines all are known to send out low-level EMF radiations.

High-level radiation also called ionizing radiation, is the second type of EMF radiation. It is sent out in the form of UV, or ultraviolet rays from the sun and X-rays from medical imaging machines.

Which appliances emit the most EMF?

Also, important to understand, EMF exposure decreases as you increase the distance from the object causing it.

Appliances that send out the most EMF waves are as follows:

  1. Microwave ovens
  2. Computers
  3. House energy meters
  4. Wireless (Wi-Fi) routers
  5. Mobile phones
  6. Bluetooth devices
  7. Power/electricity lines
  8. MRIs
  9. Ultraviolet light
  10. X-rays and other medical imaging machines

You can easily put a few things into place to avoid absorbing high amounts of radiation. This includes taking some time out and going to spend time in nature, reducing use of appliances at home, reduced use of mobile phones, or you can obviously use SmartDot or a device that rids you of EMF radiations.
