SEO consultant Singapore + sales team = increased conversions and sales? It seems impossible because these two teams work separately, but this team-up works!

I’m talking about using both the strengths of an SEO consultant and a sales team together to drive more business. This is something that I’ve seen countless companies achieve over the past decade, and it is something that we have successfully helped many of our clients with.

The reason why this combination can be so effective is that both of these teams have a clear understanding of the customer, and they both have unique tools and knowledge to guide and guide the customer.

That said, there are four specific ways SEO consultants and salespeople can work together to increase conversion rates and sales, which we’ll go over in detail below.

1. Target the right audiences

One of the most common mistakes online marketers make is they don’t understand the power of targeting. When they go after all consumers, they get an overwhelming number of hits. When they narrow down their audience to people who are interested in something they offer, they get better results.

In order to reach the targeted audiences they need, the SEO Consultant could work hand in hand with the sales team as they are the front liners of the business. Getting their feedback about what information the customers usually seek will give you a quick idea regarding the keywords to use on the website.

For instance, you’re working in a ceramic coating company. Customers usually look for car detailing services or Paint Protection Film.

What I usually do first is test the strategy. I start with the keywords that my sales team mentioned to me and the keywords I have researched. These keywords will give me an idea of what kind of traffic I will get.

2. Understand the working process

In order to know what is going on in sales, you need to understand sales. You may want to meet salespeople and ask them questions such as their:

  • Key responsibilities.
  • Common challenges.
  • Target revenue.
  • Customers’ demographics and interests.
  • Customers’ purchasing behaviour, needs, and challenges.

In the same way, it is also important for salespeople to understand the significance of and employed strategies in SEO marketing campaigns to drive leads and boost sales. Learning both ways can help each department improve or even leverage the process.

3. Craft contents that are mutually advantageous

The next principle I’d like to share with you is the first one that will directly affect the bottom line. The best content creation strategy is content that can be optimized for both SEO and the sales team.

To put it simply, it means crafting content that provides value to the reader while helping Google to rank the page higher and increasing the likelihood that the visitor buys. And while Google is a powerful tool, it’s still just another channel. Ultimately, the goal is to sell.

If you write a blog post that lacks quality, it can be a huge turnoff for readers. So you need to be careful to ensure that you write blog posts that get attention.

4. Test, Monitor and Adapt or Rectify

If you have a website, it is important to check whether people who land there are actually taking action. This is called the conversion rate and is the ratio of visitors to buyers or customers.

For SEO consultants, the most efficient route is to optimize a product or website’s content, design, and marketing in order to increase conversion rates.

For the sales team, the most common is promoting the products and services depending on the type of business: B2B or B2C.

For example, you are a wholesale beverage supplier. You will know if conversions are happening when purchases are made either online or offline.

From there, work on analysing and tracking the data and report the output to both parties.

If both parties are provided with correct information, you will be able to come up with creative ways how to collaborate these two and make a sound decision or strategies.

Test it first. Monitor. If results are improving, adapt. Otherwise, rectify.

Conclusion

SEO consultants are known for having different perspectives and unique strategies on how to use search engines to increase the visibility of a website. The truth is, if you’re looking to boost conversions and sales, SEO is only one component of an integrated marketing strategy that includes paid advertising, email marketing, social media, content marketing, lead nurturing, etc.

To find success, you need to collaborate with other departments on the team to ensure that everything is in sync and working together towards the same goal. Learn how an SEO consultant and sales team can collaborate and boost conversion rates and sales with these 4 tips.
