The fifth test match of India with England has finally come to an end which has handed India their seventeenth test service victory consecutively in its homeland with a lead of 4-1. India has completed a 4-1 series win against team England who visited its homeland for the Test series in 2024 with an inning and 64 runs in Dharamshala Stadium on Saturday. After posting 477 runs in the first innings, team India won against team England for the second time in the fifth and final test of 2024 with 218 and 195 to complete the rout inside three days. India performed well as a team as well as individually this season and fought back from 0-1 down to retain the Anthony De Mello Trophy.
In the series opener in Hyderabad, the team suffered a 28-run defeat at the hands of the visiting teams but the hosts came at their best when they were in Vishakhapatnam by thrashing three Lions by 106 runs. In Rajkot, the team defeated England by 434 runs, and in Ranchi by 5 wickets. Then Dharamshala happened and the finale witnessed the Indian cricketers playing their best with the skipper Rohit Sharma leading the fort from the front.
