Chelsea has now managed to move back into the top half of the Premier League with a productive match against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park even though it was a little unconvincing. Though the match was dominated by Chelsea with most of the possession during the first half, the team could not create opportunities on goal. They looked bereft of ideas in the final third of the match. Crystal Palace grew into the match by taking the lead with a wonder strike from Jefferson Lerma who sent the ball flying past Dorde Petrovic to score his first goal for the Eagles.

After break, Conor Gallagher who scored Chelsea’s only shot within the first 45 minutes, slotted an equaliser from the back of Malo Gusto’s home. His shot was the only one that gave some hope to the visitors in Selhurst Park.

Things started to slow down as the match started heading for a draw until Raheem Sterling released Cole Palmer on a counterattack. He picked out Conor on the edge of the box and the former Palace midfielder sank a low finish breaking the hearts of his old team club. With the knowledge of the match gone Palace conceded again in a few minutes later. All this is thanks to a fine finish from Enzo Fernandez.
