Red Dead Redemption 2

America, 1899. The end of the Wild West era has begun. After a robbery goes badly wrong in the western town of Blackwater, Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang are forced to flee. With federal agents and the best bounty hunters in the nation massing on their heels, the gang must rob, steal and fight their way across the rugged heartland of America in order to survive. As deepening internal divisions threaten to tear the gang apart, Arthur must make a choice between his own ideals and loyalty to the gang who raised him.

As per IGN, the game was 10 on 10. Moreover, they reviewed that “It’s a gorgeous depiction of an ugly period that’s patient, polished, and a huge amount of fun to play, and it’s combined with Rockstar’s best storytelling to date. Even after finishing the lengthy story I can’t wait to go back and play more. This is a game of rare quality; a meticulously polished open world ode to the outlaw era. Looking for one of this generation’s very best single-player action experiences? Here’s your huckleberry.”

Unarguably, one of the best single player PC games in the list!

Grand Theft Auto V

Los Santos: a sprawling sun-soaked metropolis full of self-help gurus, starlets and fading celebrities, once the envy of the Western world, now struggling to stay afloat in an era of economic uncertainty and cheap reality TV.

Amidst the turmoil, three very different criminals plot their own chances of survival and success: Franklin, a street hustler looking for real opportunities and serious money; Michael, a professional ex-con whose retirement is a lot less rosy than he hoped it would be; and Trevor, a violent maniac driven by the chance of a cheap high and the next big score. Running out of options, the crew risks everything in a series of daring and dangerous heists that could set them up for life.

Grand Theft Auto continues its legacy and this is why it is also one of the best single player PC games available.

The biggest, most dynamic and most diverse open world ever created, Grand Theft Auto V blends storytelling and gameplay in new ways as players repeatedly jump in and out of the lives of the game’s three lead characters, playing all sides of the game’s interwoven story.

Grand Theft Auto V for PC features a range of major visual and technical upgrades to make Los Santos and Blaine County more immersive than ever. In addition to vastly increased draw distances, Grand Theft Auto V for PC runs at 60FPS in 1080p, with the ability to display visuals in 4K resolution. Players will experience a range of additions and improvements including:

· New weapons, vehicles and activities
· Additional wildlife
· Denser traffic
· New foliage system
· Enhanced damage and weather effects, and much more

All these features are enhanced by stunning resolution, dramatic improvements to lighting, shadows, and textures, and a smooth frame-rate.

The Witcher 3

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is the third installment of the fantasy-RPG series. Moreover, it is based on a series of novels by Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski. Also, one of the best single player PC games in the market right now.

The game features a massive open world, a sprawling narrative and easily 100 hours of content based on exploring the world and meeting its inhabitants.
The Witcher 3 resumes Geralt’s story after the events of The Witcher 2, which finds the Northern Realms under attack by a Nilfgaardian occupation force. He recieves a mysterious letter from his former lover, the sorceress Yennefer of Vengerberg. Geralt sets off on a quest to find Yennefer that will span continents and renuite him with his lost protege Ciri.

As per IGN review, “Though the straightforward and fetch-quest-heavy main story overstays its welcome, the option of joyfully adventuring through a rich, expansive open world was always there for me when I’d start to burn out. Even if the plot isn’t terribly interesting, the many characters who play a part in it are, and along with the excellent combat and RPG gameplay. They elevate The Witcher 3 to a plane few other RPGs inhabit.Vincent Ingenito is IGN’s foremost fighting game nerd. Follow him on Twitter and argue with everything he says about them.”

Surely, one of the best single player PC games!

Nier: Automata

The distant future… Invaders from another world attack without warning, unleashing a new type of threat: weapons known as “machine lifeforms.” In the face of this insurmountable threat, mankind is driven from Earth and takes refuge on the Moon.

The Council of Humanity organizes a resistance of android soldiers in an effort to take back their planet. To break the deadlock, the Resistance deploys a new unit of android infantry: YoRHa .

In the forsaken wasteland below, the war between the machines and the androids rages on. A war that is soon to unveil the long-forgotten truth of this world. And, this is why it becomes one of the best single player PC games.

As per IGN, “Nier: Automata is a crazy, beautiful, and highly entertaining journey full of nutty ideas and awesome gameplay. It may not include the most sensical story or compelling characters, but its frenzied combat. Also, it is coupled with beautiful visuals and a stunning soundtrack – make it too much fun to pass up.”

Resident Evil 7

When Ethan Winters opened his inbox, the last thing he expected was to find an email from his wife; she had been missing for three years.
The message was simple: “Come get me,” and an address in Louisiana.
This leads Ethan to a decrepit mansion in the heart of the bayou. The place has a seriously creepy vibe, but Ethan continues his search – until a stranger attacks him and knocks him unconscious.
Ethan has no idea what awaits him when he wakes up. For him, he is now in the clutches of the Baker family.

As per IGN, “Resident Evil 7 grounds itself in elements that made the original great. While still indulging in a risky new shift in style that both helps and hurts the beloved formula in equal measure. But it’s also the closest a numbered sequel has come to recapturing Resident Evil’s slow, but thrilling and atmospheric adventure game roots in a while. A welcome return that I truly hope to see more of in the future.”

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

The Soviet invasion of Afghanistan has brought a new edge to the Cold War. In 1 a one-eyed man with a prosthetic arm appears in the country. Those who know him call him Snake, the legendary mercenary who was once swept from the stage of history. After that, he left in a coma by American private intelligence network Cipher. Snake is accompanied an old friend who saved him from attack when he finally awoke.

Now, Snake must undertake a solo mission to rescue Miller and prove to the world that the legendary mercenary is not dead and gone. That first step will lead to a path of vengeance against the very Cipher that slaughtered so many of Snake’s men. And, to a battle that will embroil the whole world. What started in Ground Zeroes must finish with “V”!

As per IGN, “The Phantom Pain is the kind of game I thought would never exist – one where every minute gameplay detail has true purpose. Its lack of story focus is sure to be divisive for the Metal Gear faithful, but the resulting emphasis on my story, my tales of Espionage Action, easily make it my favorite in the series.”

“There have certainly been sandbox action games that have given me a bigger world to roam, or more little icons to chase on my minimap. But none have pushed me to plan, adapt, and improvise the way this one does. Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain doesn’t just respect my intelligence as a player. Also, it expects it of me, putting it in a league that few others occupy.”

Fallout 4

The “Sole Survivor”, who emerges from a long-term cryogenic stasis in Vault 111, an underground nuclear fallout shelter. After witnessing the murder of their spouse and kidnapping of their son, the Sole Survivor ventures out into the Commonwealth to search for their missing child. The player explores the game’s dilapidated world, completes various quests. Also, it helps out factions, and acquires experience points to level up and increase the abilities of their character.

As per IGN, “The world, exploration, crafting, atmosphere, and story of Fallout 4 are all key parts of this hugely successful sandbox role-playing game. Great new reasons to obsessively gather and hoard relics of happier times, strong companions, and sympathetic villains driving tough decisions make it an adventure I’ll definitely replay and revisit. Even the technical shakiness that crops up here and there can’t even begin to slow down its momentum.”

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey

Explore an entire country full of untamed environments and cities at the peak of Greece’s Golden Age. Visit Sparta and witness Athens in its full glory, tread in the footsteps of legends like Odysseus and Hercules and uncover the secrets of Greece. Unexpected encounters will breathe life into your story as you meet colorful characters, battle formidable foes, and more.

As per IGN, “Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is a resounding achievement in world building, environment, and engaging gameplay with occasional problems throughout. Its incredible recreation of ancient Greece is something I’ll want to go back to long after I’ve finished its main story. Its excellent systems mesh together in a way that’s hard to beat.”

“While there are definite rough edges, Odyssey sets a new bar for Assassin’s Creed games. Moroever, it holds its own in the eternal debate over the best open-world roleplaying games ever.”

This makes the game one of the best single player PC games!

Hitman 2

Hitman 2 is one of the best single player PC games and keeps you attached. Hitman 2‘s gameplay is similar to its 2016 predecessor, as Agent 47, a contract assassin working for the International Contract Agency (ICA), travels to various locations around the globe to eliminate high-profile targets.

The game features six missions, which are set in six distinct locations. One of the missions in the game will take place at a racetrack in Miami, where 47 must assassinate one of the drivers and her tech mogul father, while another, set in the fictional area of Santa Fortuna, Colombia, has him hunting the leaders of a local cartel. Also, there ae other four missions.

As per IGN, “Hitman 2 doesn’t add much of note to the structure of its predecessor and thus feels more like Hitman 1.5 than a full-blown sequel. But that’s not a bad thing. By offering more of the deepest, fullest stealth sandboxes in gaming in one single package rather than six episodic ones, it earns its keep. The inclusion of Hitman (2016) is a bonus for those that didn’t catch the reboot initially. Here’s hoping they put more effort into the plot next time.”
